“Vinyasa yoga challenges both body and mind to allow you to reach a meditative state in breath and movement. It’s the perfect practice for new and experienced practitioners who relish a physical and mental challenge that builds inner and outer strength”.

vinyassa250Vinyasa Yoga is a dynamic form of asana formed around sun salutations. The postures (asanas) are practiced in a continuous sequence co-ordinated with the breath, that encourages a physical meditative state.  Although the core movements remain consistent, each class incorporates new postures and new challenges.  Vinyasa is a dynamic meditation that encourages self awareness and a a here & now consciousness of body, mind and environment.

Tuesday evenings, this is a candlelit flow class meaning that the class moves at a slower place and there is greater emphasis on rejuvenative poses. A beautiful end to a midweek day – get your body moving but have the chance to soften and restore at the end.

Saturdays are unique, this class taking place in the tranquil environment of Scotland Island. Take a step out of the day to day and hop on the ferry for a Saturday morning break. Practice to the sound of chirping birds rather than passing traffic. The class includes asana, pranayama and finishes with a rejuvenating relaxation.

Nadine began practicing Iyengar yoga from the age of 21. This lead on to a passion for Bikram and Ashtanga yoga which she credits as helping her come to terms with herself both physically and emotionally.  She first trained as a teacher under Bikram Choudhury before completing a lengthy teaching diploma with The British Wheel of Yoga. She has taught Ashtanga, dynamic, Bikram and power yoga in both the UK and Australia and credits her style of class to the teachings of Les Levanthal, Baron Baptiste, Brian Kest, BKS Iyengar, and Sri K. Pattabhi Jois. Nadine is a senior level teacher under Yoga Australia.
