RETREAT SCHEDULE *

This very special weekend away includes all of the below. Remember all activities are optional, so choose what suits you!

DAY 1  FRIDAY

Welcoming Circle on arrival.

Wangat means “a place where whispers are heard” in the local Gringai dialect. It is an ancient and special place and we want the first steps of our visitors to begin with purpose.

We will share a home made dinner together

After dinner

“Frogging” and “spotlighting”

Wangat’s frog pond has been home to over 16 local species – we will see what we can find. This is a chance to hear, touch and identify these amazing amphibians. “Spotlighting” gives us a chance to see some of the many Australian mammals that only come out at night… bandicoots, pademelons, antechinus and possums to name just a few of the possibilities.

DAY 2 SATURDAY

Morning adult yoga class before breakfast

(Day one’s practice will be a dynamic practice that can be adapted to suit all levels & experience)

Morning kids tai chi class

(A playful introduction to the fundamentals of the soft martial art)

Nourishing healthy breakfast

Guided walk through the rainforest down to the river and along to the swimming hole “Bunyip’s’ Bath”. There is opportunity for a swim, rock hopping and exploring the river side. We will be guided by Wangat’s owner Dan who has run outdoor education programs for the past 20 years at schools and universities. Morning tea along the way.

Adult Tai Chi

(An introduction to the art of finding stillness in motion)

Kids Yoga

(Offering kids a playful experience of their bodies through movement, games and relaxation. Suitable for ages 5 – 15)

Afternoon tea

Free time to explore, read, relax

Home made Dinner 

Fun around the campfire after dinner – campfire games, share stories and relive the adventures of the day


DAY 3 SUNDAY

Sunrise and appreciation of the new day!

Birdwatching for kids (and adults who’d like to come!) with Dan

Adult yoga class

(a more nourishing yoga class offering more yin style poses and long relaxation)

Delicious healthy breakfast

Guided Archery OR

Mandala Art Workshop

(explore a sense of self expression and your creative spirit in creating a mandala painting. For kids AND adults)

Morning Tea

Free Time  (build cubby’s, read or swim/explore along the river)

Lunch at the Lodge

Family Yoga Class

(fun for families together in partnered yoga, games and meditation)
